Who we are

At Boileau Interior, we are guided by passion, precision, and an endless curiosity for beauty in craftsmanship.

Our story began in Paris through the tradition of Les Compagnons du Devoir, training in the only workshop in France devoted exclusively to 1970s design, restoring masterpieces by Ray & Charles Eames, Pierre Paulin, Marcel Breuer, Verner Panton, Le Corbusier, Marco Zanuso, Olivier Mourgue, and Warren Platner. It was there that we developed a deep respect for design heritage and the art of timeless form.

We later pursued the traditional art of hand upholstery, mastering antique techniques that demand patience, care, and the human touch.

Our time with HERMÈS introduced us to the discipline of luxury craftsmanship and the pursuit of perfection in every detail. This philosophy led us to New York, where we joined Jouffre, one of the world’s most respected ateliers, contributing to high-end residential and hospitality projects alongside internationally renowned designers and architects.

Our journey eventually brought us to Australia, a country long admired for its openness, creativity, and lifestyle. After enriching experiences in Perth and Melbourne, including four years at Jardan as Head of Research and Development Upholstery, we are now based in Sydney, entering a new chapter where artistry, innovation, and elegance come together.

Every piece we create carries the essence of this journey, blending French savoir-faire, New York sophistication, and Australian freedom.
